| 1980 | First introduced in 1974 the distinctive 'Lobersterclaw' Brabham was designed by the talented South African Gordon Murray. It featured a triangular shaped chassis to blend with the sloping edges of the Ford V8 engine. It quickly became one of the top Formula 1 racing cars and in the following year won both the Brazilian and the German Grand Prix. The triangular shapes in this design are emphasised by the new Scalextric livery for 1980. |
